Digital Women is an online skill-sharing community where women can learn new and enhance their existing digital skills, while being supported and inspired by a network of like-minded women. The mission of Digital Women is to inform, educate, and empower as many women as possible through digital skills, helping to close the digital skills gap and ensure women are valued in the rapidly growing digital industries.
The Digital Women Awards celebrates women from both their community and beyond who are doing incredible work in digital and business. The Awards are open to any women working in digital industries and entrepreneurship, with entrants going through a rigorous judging process conducted by an esteemed panel.
Lucy Hall, Founder of Digital Women and Director at Skills of the Future Ltd, said: “We are excited to celebrate the incredible women who are going above and beyond, doing truly amazing things in the digital space. This is a significant time to recognise businesswomen, entrepreneurs, and those working in digital industries. I’m so glad we get to acknowledge these fantastic achievements from our community and beyond at the Digital Women Awards 2024.”
Shelley Langan-Newton was initially shortlisted as a finalist in five categories: Entrepreneur, Innovator, Community Lead, Digital Women for Good and Role Model. Her win as Innovator of the Year celebrates her remarkable achievements at SQR and ability to inspire others in the digital space.
A humbled Langan-Newton dedicates this achievement to SQR’s customers: “I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our customers for placing their trust in us.
